Thanks to the winter storm, flight cancellations and delays are being reported at several airports in the U.S.
264 Flights Canceled
As of 5:45PM (ET) on November 27, 264 flights within, into, or out of the U.S. have been cancelled for Wednesday, the busiest travel day in the U.S., according to the flight tracking service FlightAware.
Rain, heavy winds and snow are also causing delays at East Coast airports like Philadelphia, JFK, Newark, LaGuardia, Fort Lauderdale and Reagan National (Washington DC).
Several airlines including Alaska, United, JetBlue, Spirit and US Airways have waived change fees for travelers affected by the storm.
AAA expects 43.4 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during the Thanksgiving weekend.
Holiday air travel this Thanksgiving is projected to decline 3.7% to 3.14 million travelers from 3.26 million in 2012.
