Another winter storm heading toward the Northeast is brewing trouble for travelers causing flight delays and cancellations at major airports including Minneapolis/St.Paul International airport, Chicago O'Hare and LaGuardia NYC.

The storm is expected to bring 2-5 inches of snow and blizzard conditions to parts of the Upper Midwest today.

The National Weather Service has put out a winter storm warning for Central Pennsylvania, New York City, Boston and other parts of the Northeast.

Cancellations Galore

As of 12:45PM today, there were 284 flight cancellations, according to the flight tracking service FlightAware.

The majority (172) of cancellations involved flights within, into, or out of the United States.

Chicago O'Hare airport was the worst hit with 75 cancellations (35 origin and 40 destination) today.

The Federal Aviation Administration is reporting that flights to Minneapolis,  Chicago, Newark (EWR) and LaGuardia are being delayed at the departure point.

The FAA is asking travelers to check their departure airport to see if their flight is affected.
