Jet Airways is adding a new flight to the United Arab Emirates from Mumbai.
Scheduled to start from October 18, the new Mumbai-Sharjah service will be Jet Airways' sixth daily flight to the UAE from Mumbai.
Flight No 9W558 will leave Mumbai at 21:00 hours and reach Sharjah at 22:45.
On the return leg, flight No 9W557 will depart from Sharjah at 23:45 hours and reach Mumbai at 04:05 (all timings are in local time).
Jet Airway currently operates four daily flights to Dubai and one flight to Abu Dhabi from Mumbai.
Kuwait, Bahrain Flights Resume
In what should be welcome news to travelers from Kerala, Jet Airways is resuming its services to Kuwait and Bahrain from the South Indian city of Kochi.
Kerala has a large contingent of workers in the Gulf region.
The airline's Kochi-Kuwait service will operate four days a week (Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).
Flight No 9W576 will leave Kochi at 19:00 hours and reach Kuwait at 21:55.
On the return trip, flight No 9W575 will depart from Kuwait at 22:55 hours and reach Kochi at 06:15 (all timings are in local time).
The airline's Kochi-Bahrain service will operate three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
Flight No 9W594 will leave Kochi at 19:00 hours and reach Bahrain at 21:15.
On the return leg, flight No 9W593 will leave Bahrain at 22:15 hours and reach Kochi at 05:15 (all timings are in local time).
Jet Airways plans to deploy the Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these routes. The aircraft offers both Premiere and Economy configurations.
The airline expects the new flights will strengthen its position in the Gulf region.
Including the three North American cities of New York (JFK), Newark (EWR) and Toronto (YYZ), Jet Airways flies to 74 destinations.
