Hawaiian Airline announced the commencement of non stop flights between Honolulu and Fukuoka. Fukuoka is going to be the third destination where Hawaiian airlines are going to ply their services.
The services are going to commence from April, 2012 subject to approval from the Government of Japan. Fukuoka will be the fourth destination in Asia that Hawaiian has introduced recently to its route network.
Before this development, Hawaiian Airlines started their services to Tokyo in November 2010, Seoul in January 2011 and Osaka in July 2011. Depending on the approval of the Government of Japan, Hawaiian Airlines will start its services and Hawaiian Flight #453 will depart Honolulu International Airport daily at 1:20 p.m. reaching Fukuoka Airport at 6:40 p.m. on the subsequent day.
April 17th onwards, Hawaiian flight #454 will leave Fukuoka at 9:00 p.m. and reach same day at Honolulu at 10:00 a.m. (Honolulu is 19 hours behind Fukuoka and the flight crosses the international Dateline) Hawaiian Airlines will initially operate the new Honolulu-Fukuoka flights with its wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft that comfortably seats up to 264 passengers.
It is shortly going to introduce a new fleet of airbus which is going to have a large body and twin aisle. It will seat 294 passengers. Airbus A330-200 aircraft would be used on this route.
