An In-Depth Review of Beaches Negril in Jamaica

Beaches Negril in Jamaica isn’t your average resort. In fact, it is one of the few family-friendly resorts that cater to both the kids and parents. Located on the southwest area of Montego Bay Airport, it is the perfect Jamaican getaway for people of all ages and all walks of life. When you first visit the resort, you’ll notice that it has an open, airy feel and uses a plantation style. There are pathways that lead into lush landscape, but it still has an intimate feel.

Outside I found numerous sitting areas that kept me away from everyone walking by, but still let me stay within the action. The foliage gives you privacy for picnics or just to take a breather from the activities. It’s definitely a tropical paradise, and it is one of the best resorts for families.

The resort is located on the infamous Seven Mile Beach stretch, so you are always close to the perfect sand and crystal clear waters of Jamaica. You’ll find families, couples and even elderly folk sharing the beaches and having fun together. It is definitely an all-inclusive resort that I recommend.

The Accommodations

The resort has 210 rooms, and they have multiple suite categories. In fact, some suites have three bedrooms and the capability to host up to 12 guests. In the Honeymoon Deluxe Negril Room, there is a luscious garden view. For those who are traveling with just one child, the Luxury Seaside Room is perfect. It sleeps up to maximum of three people and comes with a King bed and complimentary rollaway. For those who need cribs, the hotel is accommodating and can provide a crib upon request.

There are garden view rooms that keep you away from the bustle of the seaside and let you peer onto the landscape of the resort too.

Every room is decorated with a Bahama-like style. There are ceiling fans, patios and everything is tastefully decorated. You’ll find flat screen TVs, spa amenities and more in each room too. Even if you are sleeping with five people in the same room, they are surprisingly large feeling.

There are plenty of restaurants at the Beaches Negril. The Mill features a buffet-style which is perfect for the family. I found their fare to be delicious, especially for a buffet, and with the price you can feed the whole family without worrying about going over on your budget. Arizona’s features a Tex-Mex style fare that serves lunch and dinner. Kimonos is a featured Japanese steakhouse with some of the best menu items I have ever seen. If you are looking for a romantic night out, the Stewfish is the resort’s fine restaurant that is still family-friendly. So you can bring the kids and still enjoy a nice night out with your significant other.

Beaches Negril is a luxury resort that I highly recommend. Whether you are out on your honeymoon, a romantic getaway or you are taking the entire family, you’ll never be without things to do at this perfect location.
